The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) is now leading the way together with 4 other large stock exchanges in promoting sustainable investment which encourages responsible investing and environmental sustainability. The JSEs support of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative recognises that environmental and social issues can no longer be isolated from financial trading. As a result it is encouraging companies listed on the JSE to make sustainable reporting a standard practice.
