These days it is not uncommon to deal with people over the phone or via e-mail daily without ever meeting them. With this thought in mind, we decided that we would like introduce you to the new employees that have joined Gunstons Attorneys over the last month. Without further ado, please meet…
Monique joined our administration team on 17 June and is going to play an important role in the day-to-day operational side of the business, as well as assisting with events and training sessions hosted by Gunstons.
After matriculating from South Peninsula High School, Monique continued her studies at False Bay College and thereafter at the University of Cape, obtaining a Diploma in Business Management and starting her Bachelor of Social Science in industrial sociology and organisational psychology, before entering the workplace in the quality control department of a well-established spice company.
When asked what her life’s motto is, Monique responded with: “Change is the only constant in life and therefore I embrace the following quote by Socrates: The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new”. Monique is a friendly and cheerful face around the office, always willing to lend a helpful hand.
On 01 July Estelle joined us in the role of assistant to the Commercial & Litigation Department. She attended the Imperial Underwood College of Commerce after matriculating and found that she most enjoyed her subjects covering the area of legal office practice. Estelle later proceeded to complete a Business Administration and Management course at Damelin.
She now has 14 years’ experience as a personal assistant and manager within the legal field and we have no doubt that Estelle will play a vital role in taking our Commercial & Litigation Department to the next level.
We also asked Estelle what her life’s motto is and we were told: “I believe in making the rest of your life, the best of your life and if I were to write a note to my younger self, it would be: carpe diem (seize the day)”.
Welcome to our team Monique and Estelle. We can already see that you are tackling your new roles with enthusiasm and are happy to have you on board.
